Scope
We were tasked with providing detailed specifications for the instalment of a Spanco modular workstation bridge crane:
- Composed of a runway (40′-5″ long, 16′-0″ span)
- 2 manual cranes (push-pull, non-motorized)
- 4,000 lbs load capacity each
as well as,
- Verify the concrete slab for expected equipment loads
Calculations
- Concrete test results show the average compression strength of ~28MPa
- Assuming worst-case scenario where both cranes are loaded at maximum capacity, the vertical load on the column generated can be up to 10,000 lbs
