The modular storage container is crafted to meet the semi-permanent requirements in industrial environments. This project is done in partnership with Hillview Sheet Metal and Shortline Fabricating.
The frame is constructed with galvanized studs, fabricated on a high-precision CNC laser table and formed on a CNC sheet bender. The sidings and roof consist of traditional, high-quality steel panels. The entire framing is assembled through regular fasteners while the sidings and the roof with metal roofing screws.
Dimensions
The standard dimensions of the module are L10 x W10 x 8H (ft). The corner studs can be swapped with mid-studs, enabling the user to extend the structure to 20ft, 30ft or virtually a tunnel of modules.

Transport and packaging
BoltaBox 10x10x8 module can fit on a regular half-ton truck and weighs just over 600 lbs, while a standard 12′ utility trailer can carry up to 4 modules.
The floor framing can be optionally fitted with pockets for forklift handling.
Assembly
The complete assembly takes 6 to 8 hours for two handy persons. The studs have all the holes pre-cut precisely by a CNC laser machine, and patterned in a way that the framework can only assembled correctly, probably easier than a Lego. The ground needs to be leveled, an impact driver is a must.
Greenhouse mode
The metal framing (without the floor studs and metal roofing & sidings and sidings) can be used to build a greenhouse with polycarbonate panels.
Advantages of BoltaBox over a shipping container
For sure, a shipping container is quicker to set up., unload it, and you’re good to go, but here are the advantages of Boltabox:
- Modular design, expand as required;

- It can be completely disassembled and reassembled.
Applications

- When a Standard 60″ Jobsite Box is not enough, use BoltaBox as a Job-Shed.
